It’s so hard to realise Ian is no longer with us. We first met him in Tripoli on 1 September 1969, the day of the Libyan revolution, and we have been friends there and in UK ever since. He was a smashing man, a kind friend with a lovely sense of humour. He will be missed by us but especially by his family to whom we send love and condolences. We haven’t seen Ian much in recent years but the memories of him will stay with us for ever.
